If I didn't enjoy the darkroom i would scrap it for my digital printing so for now I am happy with working in more than one medium. I can easily produce exhibition quality prints on cotton fiber papers. That printer is more costly than the 1430 as well as the inks being more although the cartridges are 80ml. The ink combo and paper I am using with a tweak from a PhotoShop plugin I've had for a long time is giving me results that are really great. It was an excellent printer that I donated to a children's photography program when I got an Epson 3880 which has been replaced by model P800 taking the same nine inks and printing up to 17 x 22. ![]() I had an Epson 2200 that also printed up to 13 x 19 which had three black inks one of which could be switched on for matte surface papers. I haven't used that printer but it has six inks one of which is black so advanced Black and White is part of the printer software.
